Balkan...Projects is dedicated to advancing art education through its residency and mentorship programs, offering artists a unique platform to develop their craft beyond traditional methods.

In collaboration with the Swiss Institute New York, we launched a three-month residency program in 2019 specifically for Balkan artists. With the Swiss Institute acting as a liaison between the artists and the city, residents have the rare opportunity to live, learn, research, and engage intellectually at their own pace in an independent and creative environment.

In 2024, we expanded our offerings with a new mentorship program. This initiative employs peer-to-peer methodologies to facilitate a dynamic exchange of knowledge and empowerment. Our aim is to cultivate a reciprocal learning environment that encourages experimentation, dialogue, and the exploration of innovative artistic concepts while addressing broader questions in contemporary art.
